I saw a guy the other day light up a
cigarette as he walked out the gym. Look at that!
He was beautiful. He obviously been obviously spent a lot of time in
the gym working out and building up a very masculine, muscular physique.
But he’s smoking and he’s not the first person I’ve seen who’s really
trying to out-exercise their bad habits. I know people who
eat tremendous amount and exercise like madman or madwoman to be able to keep their weight down.
If they stop exercising boom the weight piles back on them because they haven’t
managed to change their eating patterns and behaviours. I used to work with a man who was again a gym junkie what do we call that
gym junkie who was in the gym morning and night and very into his fitness but
the food that he consumed in his meal break was always pies, sausage rolls, hamburgers lollies, cakes and soft drinks and so many of those energy drinks. The caffeinated energy drinks.
So you can’t out exercise a bad habit. Most people, a lot of people, myself included used to believe that if I exercise and was physically strong I would not suffer the consequences of poor diet, drinking too much or smoking. You can’t out exercise bad habits. Bad habits will catch up with you because what’s driving your bad habits is still the private conversation that
you’re having. The internal chatter in your mind that is what’s driving the
stress in your body it is stress in your body that is driving your bad habits.
It’s not until you deescalate the stress nobody that you can get a handle on your
eating patterns, habits, and behaviors be able to enjoy exercise for the right
reasons rather than trying to out exercise bad habits. If you are ready
